Hear from five Ohio State alumni under the age of 25 as they share their experiences and advice on getting involved on campus and transitioning to life after college. These panel discussions cover various topics, including research, study abroad, the first-generation college experience, and women in STEM. Events are prepared and facilitated by SAC members. Buckeye pen pals

Connect one-on-one with current students through the Buckeye Pen Pals program. We welcome alumni of all ages and backgrounds who feel passionate about connecting with students to serve as a mentor within this program. Network virtually with Ohio State students, alumni, staff, and faculty over Zoom. This virtual version of Dinner for 12 Buckeyes allows participants to connect regardless of location. For questions, contact Kasie Saysanannaayudhya.1.

Take a campus tour

Student-Alumni Council and the Ohio State University Alumni Association are excited to offer tours to alumni visiting campus. Tours are led by SAC students and take alumni around campus landmarks. Request a tour at go.osu.edu/alumnivisit. Any questions regarding this program can be directed to Kiera Doran.151.

dinner for 12 buckeyes

Join Ohio State students, alumni, staff, and faculty for a catered dinner at the Longaberger Alumni House. This event brings together Buckeyes from across campus and the alumni community to share stories and advice. Any questions regarding this program can be directed to Abby Harper.1215.

SAC is able to reach and impact the student experience of thousands of Buckeyes each year thanks to the generous support of our donors. One way we do this is through our SAC Scholarships through which we are able to give thousands of tuition dollars to deserving Buckeyes! Applications open during January, and more information will be available on website or social media.

Endowment & Scholarship Funds

SAC Upperclassman Scholarship

Established August 30, 1995, by the Student-Alumni Council through The Foundation. Income provides scholarships to currently enrolled students who have successfully completed three quarters of undergraduate curriculum at any university and intend to remain enrolled at this University for at least three quarters after receipt of the scholarship. Unused income is reinvested to principal.

SAC Outstanding Freshman Scholarship Fund

Established June 7, 1985, by the Student-Alumni Council. Income provides scholarships based on scholastics, service and leadership to freshmen not previously enrolled at Ohio State or any other university for more than three quarters. Unused income is re-invested to principal.

SAC Operations and Service Endowment Fund

Established November 7, 1997, by the Council through The Foundation. Income supports operating expenses of the Council for projects benefiting the general membership and University-related service projects that benefit the greater campus community.

Established August 30, 1995, by the Council through The Foundation. Income supports University-related service projects having a philanthropic and/or benevolent purpose, enhancing the greater campus community and promoting awareness of activities and student lifestyles.

i’ve met so many people I know I most likely never would have come into contact with otherwise. I love having such a large network of people on campus to just say hi to in passing on the oval or grab ethyl nachos with post-meetings. I also feel more connected to Ohio State in a way, being exposed to so many traditions SAC upholds and being so involved in events like Homecoming really validates why I became a Buckeye in the first place.
Giving to SAC allows us to continue to put on programs we are passionate about and achieve our goals as an organization. We would not be able to reach the people we do or host the successful events we do without the help of staff and donors!

Before joining SAC, I wasn’t really involved at all on campus; I just had my freshman dorm friends. Since joining, I have met so many more incredible people, gained the confidence to join other groups, and had some awesome experiences. I would definitely not have the social life on campus I do now if it wasn't for SAC.
I also gained some great leadership experiences. Being the Spike PCo for a year taught me about time management, communication with a team, and how to lead a group of people. I would highly recommend applying to SAC to anyone who wants a group that can balance the professional, leadership, and social aspects of college.

SAC has without a doubt been my defining college experience. As humans, we long to feel connection, to feel important and valued. Before joining this organization, I struggled to find my place at Ohio State. However, this organization has given me more than I could have ever imagined and allowed me to find my home at Ohio State.

Transferring to OSU as a sophomore, I had some reservations about finding my place at the university and fitting in socially. SAC played an integral role in me feeling welcomed and comfortable after transferring. Having a network of people from my first day on campus made the transition so smooth.
The activities with other members and students, both official events and social, quickly acquainted me with other students with similar interests and career paths. The friendships that I have made with other members will truly last for a lifetime.
